Dr. Hu is a licensed optometrist who holds a Therapeutic Pharmalogical Agents (TPA) certification for the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases. She is one of the few optometrists in California to be certified to treat glaucoma. She is a member of the California Board of Optometry and is also certified by the National Board of Optometry. Dr. Hu also serves as a clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners of Optometry.

Dr. Hu graduated from the School of Optometry at Indiana University and completed an internship in refractive surgery. She has had considerable experience with laser vision correction as well as comprehensive eye examinations in private practice settings. She is an expert at glasses and contact lens prescription and fitting. Fluent in Cantonese, Dr. Hu has been active in clinical practice in the Bay Area for more than a decade.
